Cuatro Vientos airport’s first charging station for electric cars has been installed at our pilot school’s Madrid base. Now, visitors and employees alike can now charge their EVs while they stay at Aerotec.

In our humble opinion, this charging station is the perfect complement for our solar panels, which ensures that the source of the energy is truly renewable, rather than being a mere “greenwashing” performance.

All of that is part of our wider corporate social responsibility strategy, which aims for a long-term reduction of our CO2 emissions. For instance, the acquisition of our new 5 P-Mentor aircraft is also part of that initiative: less fuel consumption and more efficiency equals less dependence on oil.

We are very aware that this is a far-reaching goal, and that there is no “silver bullet” that will decarbonize light aviation overnight. But we also believe that every little step such as this one also counts.
